We apologize but a final count has been submitted to Goose Island for this
year's Founders Day event and RSVP'ing is now closed. If you would like,
please send an email to treasurer@phipsichicago.org
and we will see if we can fit you in. Below is the information on the
event if you are already attending...
Last year Brother Kent Christopher Owen ('58) gave an inspirational speech
and this year Chicago resident Todd Schoell ('75) has accepted an invitation to
speak. Both alumni and undergraduates are invited to attend and
additionally we are extending invitations to significant others.
The main difference is that this year's event will be a more formal
affair. We will be holding the event in Goose Island's Siebel Hall room
and a four course dinner will be served family style. Here is what's
on the menu (subject to change):
Appetizers
Baked Pretzels... Classic Bavarian with Dusseldorf mustard and marinara sauce
Hummus & Fresh Vegetable Display... Assorted vegetables served with
homemade red pepper hummus
Chicken Pesto Flatbread... Grilled Chicken, Pesto, Roma Tomatoes and Spinach
Salad
House Salad... Mixed fresh greens topped with tomatoes and house vinaigrette
Entree
Cast Iron Chicken...Dry rubbed with hickory seasoning
Roast Pork Loin
Sides
Chef's Veggies
Mashed Potatoes
Dessert
Specialty Dessert Bar Platter
The pricing for the event is as-follows. A cash bar
will be available including Goose Island brews and cocktails. Dress
is Business Casual.
$45.00 for undergraduate students and significant others
$65.00 for alumni (this includes your 2008 alumni dues)
