The Chicago Alumni Association will be holding it's
first networking lunch on November 30 at 12:00 pm. The lunch will be held
at the Italian Village downtown, 71 W. Monroe St. We hope that some of
you that are unable to make it to our frequent happy hours may be able to join
us for lunch. This is a business casual networking lunch, and a great way
to meet other brothers new and old in the area. If you did not
receive an Evite RSVP, please send an e-mail to

The
2007 Founder's Day dinner was quite the success. Over 20 members were in
attendance to hear our national mystagogue Kent Christopher
Owen speak. Goose Island again did a great job serving six different
beers and providing ample amounts of food.

RSVP for the 2007 Founder's Day
dinner. The dinner will once again be held at the Goose Island Brewpub

Officers
Karl Marschel and Dave Metzger attended GAC in New Orleans this year.
Additionally, other Chicago AA members made the trip down including Josh
Johnson, William Reynolds, Marc Dumas and Kevin Marks. It was a
great event and we were all happy to represent the Chicago Alumni Association
in New Orleans. Additionally, the Chicago Alumni Association was one of
three associations nominated for best alumni association. While we did
not win, it was a great honor and shows the progress our association has made
over the last couple of years. |

The
Catholic Charities event on June 25th was again a success. This is the second
year in which the Chicago Alumni Association has helped with the annual St.
Blase Health Fair. Two members of the association helped to direct attendees to
their appropriate locations for screenings during the fair. An additional two
members came later to help the crew take down tables, chairs, and clean up from
the event. Catholic Charities again expressed their appreciation in our
efforts. |
